The Versa formula is designed for smooth extrusion and malleability. This provides more control and precision, offering greater consistency during injections, while introducing less tissue trauma at the injection site.

Optimized for Biocompatibility

The longer hyaluronic acid (HA) chains (higher molecular weight) found in Versa reduces the amount of cross-linking agent needed for effective cross-links, which makes the HA chains closer to native HA, minimizing the likelihood of adverse reactions.

Optimized for Malleability

From a scientific perspective, elasticity and viscosity can be measured with two properties – G’ (G prime) and G” (G double-prime), respectively. The G’ property reflects the elastic behavior of the HA gel or how much the substance can recover its original shape after being subjected to the extrusion force during the injection process, as well as the intrinsic and extrinsic pressures exerted on the face. The G” property refers to the viscous nature of the HA gel and its ability to exhibit a smooth extrusion during the injection process.

For a dermal filler to be highly effective, its overall viscoelasticity is key. The ideal HA filler should not only have an optimal extrusion force during the injection, but also be malleable enough to recover its shape once injected for a durable soft tissue correction.

The Versa formula aims to find this balance between elasticity and viscosity, with the ultimate goal of developing a dermal filler that provides a G” level that yields consistency for control and precision, while maintaining a G’ level that yields resilience for correcting and shaping. This objective was achieved through the selection of longer, higher molecular weight HA chains, which require lower amounts of cross-linking agent, and our unique milling process that creates smoother, rounder, and more homogenous HA particles.
